After tallying up the thousands of votes that came in over the past two weeks, the results for the You be the Judge art contest are in!
The painting that received the highest number of votes was “Refraction” by David McLeod. In an extremely close race, second place goes to Amy Karnes for her entry, “Stories on the Porch Swing”. Third place goes to “Tatya” by Rakesh Suryawanshi.
As the Grand Prize winner of this year’s contest, David will be awarded the incredible Grand Prize package which includes products from the following artists and companies: Richard Schmid, Joe Bowler, Dan Gerhartz, Brian Neher, American Artist Magazine, Jerry’s Artarama, Silver Brush Limited, ASW Express, Jack Richeson & Co. Inc., Yale University Press and Blick Art Materials.
As the Third Place winner, Rakesh will receive a download version of my instructional art video, Painting Outdoor Light.
