Art Contest #2 Winner

Thanks so much to everyone who entered their artwork in contest # 2. With only eight votes separating the winner from the painting that received the next highest vote count, last week’s contest proved to be a very tight race. It just goes to show how much each vote matters.

When all the votes were counted, the winner for contest # 2 was Karen Killian for her painting, “We’re Good”. Karen’s name may look familiar to some because she was also the winner of contest #1. Her paintings depict a wonderful feeling of emotion. In addition to commissioned portraits, Karen also does a wonderful job at visually communicating the relationship and bond between a pet and their owner.

As the winner of contest #2, Karen will have her choice of one of four video downloads (Drawing, Value, Color or Edges) and is now entered into the final contest at the end of the month for a chance to win an entire set of instructional art DVD’s which also includes “Painting Outdoor Light”. In addition, I will also be featuring her painting on my Facebook page so that others can enjoy viewing it as well.

To see more of Karen’s work, be sure to take a look at her website at www.watermarkstudio.com. Congratulations, Karen!

Voting has now begun for Contest # 3, so be sure to take a look and vote for your favorite painting!

There’s only one more contest left this month, so if you were thinking about submitting your work, this is your last opportunity. Click here for details about how to enter. The deadline for entering is Monday, November 21 by midnight. You can email your JPEG images to me at art contest@brianneher.com.

Good luck!
