Mixing Flesh Tones for Painting Portraits (Video)

Back in late 2011, I wrote a blog about mixing flesh tones that contained several step-by-step photos in order to help explain my approach to this topic. Last week I decided to go ahead and record a similar demonstration on video before I began working on a commissioned portrait so that viewers could see this process in action.

It’s available for viewing in different resolutions, including High Definition. Once the video starts, simply click on the small gear icon that will appear at the bottom of the video frame to pick which playback resolution you prefer. Take care and have a great week of painting!
