Description
Edges are like the punctuation in painting. They are used to emphasize or downplay certain areas in order to draw the viewerís attention to various points of interest throughout the painting. The artist is given an additional tool in order to achieve a greater sense of volume and depth by using a variety of edges.
Through visual examples and a painting demonstration, Brian explores the importance of edges and explains the significance of each one and how to incorporate the following into your own painting:
Hard Edges and Soft Edges
Broken Edges
Lost Edges and Found Edges
Implied Edges
